Behind the Name

“Murphy, my maiden name, holds deep symbolic significance for me. My father, a successful CPA at the start of his career, and ultimately a Corporate Executive in Nashville and Dallas, was the cornerstone of my commitment to business and a heart of service, especially in serving families. Growing up, I spent countless hours in his office, watching, learning, and absorbing the world of business, which laid the groundwork for my own financial career.

Following the first 10 years of my corporate leadership experience, I had the privilege to work alongside my father for the next 12 years… and the foundation for my dedication in the Family Office space was cemented.

Some of the most important lessons he instilled in me include: always raise my hand, embrace new challenges, think outside the box, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and principles. He also taught me the value of family legacy and the importance of helping others. His encouragement and influence shaped my approach to leadership, particularly servant leadership — striving not only to better myself but also to ensure that those around me are successful and growing in their professional journeys.

Today, I continue the legacy of my father, operating as RS Murphy, LLC. My son follows our path, working as a Tax Director in Dallas for PwC, where he serves family offices and ultra-high-net-worth families.”

Behind the Mark

An emblem of connectivity, strength and vision — conceptually the icon represents the interconnection of family values, future, and legacy. The mark is a visual metaphor for weaving together individual strengths into a unified whole, where the multi-gen family and community of partners form the bedrock of future success.
